Why Buy A Memory Foam Mattress?
Why buy memory foam? Aren’t they very expensive? What does it offer that conventional bedding cannot? If you’re happy with your mattress and pillow and get a great night’s sleep every night then don’t buy it; don’t change a thing! But, if you find you’re stiff in the morning, or your back, neck and shoulders ache or you keep waking up unable to get comfortable then maybe you should consider memory foam.
The biggest advantage of sleeping on a memory foam mattress, in my view, is its ability to support your body exactly where it’s needed. Even the most advanced spring mattresses cannot match the support of memory foam. The foam is made from pressure relieving visco elastic foam and is designed to respond to your weight and body temperature. After a few minutes of getting into bed the material moulds to your body shape and gives excellent support. This type of support does take a little getting used to, but once people have tried it they find it difficult to return to conventional bedding.
For couples a memory foam mattress can mean less disturbed nights if your partner is a restless sleeper. A tossing and turning partner will not move your side of the mattress thanks to the superior support. Also if one partner is much heavier than the other there is less roll-together as each sleeper will form their own body shape.
We spend so much time in our beds it makes sense to ensure it provides the comfort and support that promotes the best conditions for quality sleep. The superior support of memory foam will help if
You suffer from back pain You get neck or shoulder pain You have Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS) Most chronic pain sufferers You have arthritis Your posture is poor You’d like a more comfortable bed :0)
However, before your rush out and buy memory foam be aware there are different types available. Not all memory foam is the same! There are some cheaper imitations made with inferior material that will neither last nor provide support. Some types of foam give off small amounts of toxic gases. So do your homework first to check you’re buying a quality product and I think you’ll never regret it.
